Where TemperaturePro is the better fit

Some jobs and some schedules point to them, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

  • Duct cleaning or a home energy audit. TemperaturePro lists both. Neither is on our service list. We seal and repair ducts and rebalance airflow, but if what you want is the ducts cleaned or a whole-house energy audit, they do that work and we do not.
  • A commercial building. Commercial HVAC is on their menu. Our commercial work stops at small offices and retail spaces with residential-style equipment.
  • You need someone after 6pm on a weekday. Their posted hours run to 8pm Monday to Friday and to 4pm on Saturday. Ours end at 6pm on weekdays and 3pm on Saturday. If you can only be home in the evening, their window is wider.
  • You are north of Georgetown. Their service list reaches Jarrell, Salado, Temple, Burnet and Bertram. Ours does not go that far.
  • You have a boiler or a window unit. Both are on the list of systems they service. Neither is something we work on.

Where Comfort Pros is the better call

  • You want a Carrier system from the dealer that registers it. TemperaturePro works with Carrier among many brands. We are a Carrier factory authorized dealer: the crew is factory trained on the lines we install and the equipment is registered for manufacturer warranty coverage at installation. The details are on our Carrier dealer page.
  • You want an independent shop rather than a franchise. Comfort Pros has one owner and one office, in Leander since 2018. That is not a knock on a franchise; it is a difference in shape, and some homeowners have a preference.
  • You are on the Lake Travis side: Lago Vista, Jonestown, Lake Travis. Those are on our list and not on theirs.
  • You want the replacement sized from a load calculation. Every AC replacement we quote starts with a load calculation on the house rather than a copy of the old unit's size.
  • You want an earlier start. We open at 7am on weekdays, an hour before they do, which matters if you want the technician gone before you leave for work.

Both companies are licensed by the State of Texas, both are based in Leander, and both run a two-visit maintenance program. If your job is on their list and not ours, call them. If it is a Carrier install, a repair inside our hours, or a home on the lake side, call us.
